The British VTuber industry might have only started, but it’s growing rapidly. It all boils down to the love for anime, cute avatars, gaming, roasting, and music. British VTubers are very much a part of the global expansion of the Virtual YouTube world. Veibae is the most popular British-originated VTuber and is currently the sixth most followed VTuber on Twitch.

Earlier she was affiliated with VShojo, but now she has joined Mythic Talent, with 1.1 million followers on Twitch alone. What makes her stand out is her shy demeanor, which is mixed with a slight temper that surfaces at times.

Yes, they can! British VTubers are gaining popularity with time, and the European region, in particular, has seen VTuber communities come up. Even though the industry is dominated by Japanese creators, the British market has seen lots of independent creators surfacing.

This has brought new cultural viewpoints and competitive dynamics to the mix. Surely top agencies like Hololive and Nijisanji would pave the way for more creators in the future.

Originating from Japan, the anime culture has created a market for itself in the UK, with many British VTubers emerging. As per the Streams Charts  statistics, around 1.9% of the VTubers are from the UK, while 52.6% are Japanese.

Additionally, there are currently 26 active British VTubers. Most of them are independent, while some have signed with Mythic Talent, VShojo, and other agencies.

British VTubers may be few in number, but they have quite a presence on Twitch. Veibae is not only the most followed VTuber from the UK, but she’s also the sixth most followed worldwide on Twitch.

She’s enchanting, loves to swear, and shows her mean side more often than the sweet one. Her 1.1 million followers can vouch for that. Veibae’s love for memes and food videos also shines through.

Despite being relatively new to the game, British VTubers have surely come a long way. It all started when Veibae started creating content in April 2020. With her strictly 18+ Twitch streams, she got noticed and now has over 629k subscribers on YouTube and more than 33.7 million views.

She describes herself as a “champion, magician, and an absolute Chad.” Also, she’s unique and is often found drunk during chats.

Well, there aren’t any known British VTubers, who are currently working with the Hololive Production. Most of them choose to create content as independent creators for now. The few who are affiliated with a talent agency have signed with VShojo, Mythic Talent, and others.

There is a lot of scope for collaboration with Hololive English or HoloEN though, as it caters to the English-speaking audience worldwide. Also, Hololive is actively spreading its wings globally and the UK market seems promising.

Currently, there are no British VTubers associated with Nijisanji EN. However, in the past, Mysta Rias, a male VTuber, was affiliated with the fourth wave of Nijisanji EN, as a part of the group “Luxiem.” Up until August 2023, he used to create content in English but is now retired.

His origins weren’t clear from the start. In 2022, in what is known as the “British Debuff of 2022” he discovered his British identity.
